Select the number 4 enter (2 times)
The length change will then be recorded
6) Select QUIT BUTTON to exit
TO TEST LANE TIMERS BUTTONS
1) Select EDIT EVENT KEY (lower
part of console)
2) Enter an Event # higher than an event that is actually
being used enter
ex: if the last event entered was 30, might want to type in
40 for the test event
3) Select RESET BUTTON (using 2 fingers)
4) Starter will instruct timers when to press
timers buttons
5) Verify that all timer buttons are working
LOOK FOR 3 TRIANGLES TO APPEAR in each lane
IF NOT - INFORM STARTER IMMEDIATELY
STARTERS WILL INSTRUCT TIMERS TO RE-PRESS BUTTONS
IF THIS IS A TOUCH PAD MEET ALSO CHECK FOR PADS TO REGISTER
6) Select RESET BUTTON (using 2 fingers)
7) Select EDIT EVENT KEY (lower part of console)
8) Enter Event #__ for the first Event enter

2) Select Length
3) Enter the length number (25/50/100/200) using the numbered
keys
4) Enter Key to accept change
5) Event should now reflect the change

Select Display on (softkey)
Will display the event time (display off will show the time of
day)
AT THE START OF THE MEET
GET SPECIAL
HEAT SHEET
1) Shows swimmers by EVENTS / HEATS / LANE ASSIGNMENTS
2) Note Meet Start Time / End Time on the sheet
3) Note Meet Break Time by the Event where it is taken
FOR EACH EVENT / HEAT
1) Select NEXT EVENT or
NEXT HEAT buttons (bottom of console) to advance
2a) VERIFY EVENT TITLE / HEAT # against Heat Sheet and check it off on the Heat Sheet
2b) WRITE THE UNIQUE RACE NUMBER NEXT TO HEAT # on the Heat Sheet
3) NOTE any NO SHOWS or SCRATCHES
next to swimmers names on the heat sheet for the event
(NS) for No Shows (S) for Scratches (starter will inform you)
4) CLOSE ANY LANES NOT IN USE using the
LANE ON/OFF BUTTON
The Starter may inform you if there is no swimmer in the
lane
Do before store/print (this eliminates unnecessary printing
& may get error message for touch pads)
DISQUALIFICATIONS
IF THE OFFICIAL NOTIFIES YOU OF
A DQ PRIOR TO THE END OF THE HEAT
BEFORE STORE/PRINT IS DONE
1) Select the EDIT / DQ button (middle of
console under screen)
2) Select DQ (soft key)
3) Enter lane # using number keys (on right side
of console)
4) Enter key to accept
5) Turn lane off (LANE ON/OFF button)
ELSE THE OFFICIALS WILL GIVE YOU A DQ ticket
Note the Disqualifications (DQ) next to swimmers names on
the heat sheat
FINISH ARMS button (soft key in middle
of console one for each lane)
Are displayed when the starter presses start button at beginning
of race
Use if touch pads do not register
Use if touch pads need to be reset during the event, especially
for 200/400 etc
5) AS THE SWIMMERS FINISH NOTICE the TRIANGLES
( top right portion of the screen)
there should be 3 TRIANGLES appearing for each lane
as the timers press their stop buttons
if there is a problem notify the officials / check the timer's
buttons
if touch pads do not register, inform officials, they will
touch the pad
6) WHEN ALL SWIMMERS HAVE FINISHED THE
HEAT and all triangles are visible (step 5)
Select STORE / PRINT button to print and register the results
If there is a problem with buttons / touch pads, take notice
& notify starter if problem persists
2) Select the RESET button (both sides)
7) GO BACK TO STEP 1 (ADVANCE TO NEXT EVENT / HEAT)
AT THE END OF THE MEET
1) Note the end time of the meet on
the Heat Sheet / save heat sheet in case official timers need
it for verification
2) Leave console / computer as is in case corrections are
needed to be made
