 Sanction:  Hawaiian Swimming, USS Sanction # LC980004, Held under the sanction of the United States Swimming, Inc.
 Dates:  Friday, July 3rd through Sunday, July 5th, 1998
 Pool Site:  Kaimuki High School Swimming Pool, 2705 Kaimuki Avenue, Honolulu, Hawaii
 Course:  Long Course - 50 Meters, 8 lanes
 Time:
Friday, July 3rd	Warmup: 6:30AM	Start: 8:30AM
The start time for the afternoon session will be determined
by the referee during the morning coach's meeting.
Saturday, July 4th	Warmup: 7:00AM	Opening Ceremony Start:8:00 AM
The start time for the afternoon session will be determined

Sunday, July 5th	Warmup: 6:30AM	Start: 8:30 AM

The Afternoon Check In Sheets Will Be Due
45 Minutes Before the Start Of The Session!

Please note that there will be a break to accommodate the 4-hour 
rule for 12 & Under swimmers. See event schedule.  The afternoon
session will begin approximately one (1) hour following the morning
sessions.  Projected start times will be communicated to all
teams once the entries are entered and the timeline is developed.
 Warmup:

 Open Warmup. Warm-up must be supervised by a USS registered

"Coach Member" following the guidelines established by the LSC.  
The registration Chairperson will enforce registration rules 
regarding coaches. Disregard of the USS safety rules will be 
grounds for disqualification of a swimmer from competition.
 Rules:  Current USS and Hawaiian Swimming Rules will govern the meet.
 Format:  Timed finals with seeding by computer.
 Judging:  Colorado Timing, 3-Button system, with manual back up timing.
 Division:  Men/Women: 10/under, 11/12, 13/14, 15/16, Open Division. The age of the swimmer on July 3rd,1998 will govern the entire meet.
 Eligibility:  Open to all athletes who hold a 1998 USS Registration. Foreign athletes must have travel permits to participate. Swimmers who have met or bettered the respective time standards listed are eligible. Sorry, no deck registrations will be accepted. Registration must be mailed to the LSC Registration Chairperson and postmarked no later than the meet date.
 Entries:

 A swimmer may enter a maximum of four (4) individual entries per day. All entries must be on the master entry form with current USS numbers entered for each swimmer.

The swimmer may splash events if you qualify for something else that day under the following conditions:

  • Qualify in one event - May splash one event
  • Qualify in two events - May splash two events
  • Qualify in three events - May splash one event
  • All splashes must be entered as a NT.
 Computer:  HyTek's Meet Manager will be used. Entries via commlink files on diskettes will be accepted however master entry forms are still required.
 Entry Fees:

 (1) $ 1.50 per individual event (2) $ 5.30 per relay event. (This includes administration fees)

Make checks payable to: Hawaii Swimming Club.

 Deadline:
 Master Entry Forms, Entry Fee Recap must be signed and included
with your entries, commlink disks (3 -1/2 diskettes), and checks
(fees) are due by Tuesday, June 23rd, 1998.

All Entry Fees are due before event one starts.

 Check-In

 If Your Entry Fees have been turned in, the "Check-in

sheets" will be given to coaches for.  Procedures: verification.
Coaches will verify the swimmers events by scratching events
as appropriate. Coaches must return check-in sheets to the Clerk
of Course no later than 45 minutes before the start of the meet.
 Awards:
Individual: Medal for 1st - 3rd.  Ribbon for 4th - 8th
Relays: Medal for 1st.  Ribbon for 2nd - 3rd.
Team: Trophies for the 1st - 8th place teams.

Outstanding Swimmer:  Trophy for top male and top female point winner
in each age group division.

 Officials:  Each team is required to provide ONE OFFICIAL for EVERY FIVE (5) swimmers entered in the meet. Failure to provide the required number of officials may result in not allowing teams without officials to swim. Timer lane assignments by club will be based upon the number of club entrants per session.
Concession:   There will be an concession stand that will be available during the course of the meet.
